As recent as 2020, Dr. Mark Beltrami was selected by his peers as a Top General Dentist according to Richmond Magazine!
In 1999, Dr. Beyer founded Commonwealth Orthodontics and maintains a full-time private practice in Midlothian and Colonial Heights. He was one of the very first Orthodontists to be trained in Invisalign and offer it in private practice back in 1999, and he maintains active professional memberships in the American, Southern, and Virginia Associations of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Beyer also had the honor and privilege of serving as President of the Medical College of Virginia Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation in 2005. Dr. Beyer and Commonwealth Orthodontics has been selected as the Best Orthodontist in Richmond by the Richmond Times-Dispatch for multiple years.
Outside of the office, you won’t find Dr. Beyer around town much, as he and his family enjoy traveling around the United States in their RV. If you are ever looking for advice as to where to travel, chances are he has been there (or at least somewhere close!). He also enjoys collecting pinball machines and arcade games — and he even has machines from his collection in both offices for patients to enjoy.

In her free time, Dr. Griffith loves hiking, yoga, and a good game or movie night.
“My profession means the world to me!” says Dr. Heriford. “Some people say that they go to work every day just to pay the mortgage, but my job is always intriguing and fun! For over 23 years, I have found it a joy to share in the fascinating stories all of our patients have to offer. I thoroughly enjoy caring for our patients and their teeth.``
Dr. Heriford has lived in Suffolk for the past 23 years with his wife, Susan, a fellow cosmetic dentist, and two daughters, Diana and Julia. Outside of the office, Dr. Heriford enjoys swimming, tennis, and snow skiing. He and his family are active members of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church and participate in many of the classes and groups at the church.
Dr. Miller recently became a board-certified pediatric dentist and is a diplomate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Virginia Dental Association.
In her free time, she likes going for runs and trying new restaurants, as well as spending time with her fiancée and cat. Dr. Miller is looking forward to working at Commonwealth in order to brighten smiles all over the Richmond area!
Prior to attending college, Dr. Rowland was a Navy Corpsman (medic) working with the US Marine Corps. While he was deployed to Iraq in 2005, Dr. Rowland’s brother sent him a letter that contained an article titled “The Most Rewarding Professions.” Being a dentist was at the top of the list. That letter opened Dr. Rowland’s eyes to a way that he could still practice medicine, but not have the life and death weight of working in a war zone.
Dr. Rowland has been exposed to and has experience in all aspects of general dentistry. He is passionate about treating his patients the way he would want his own family to be treated.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Rowland loves to read and spend time with his wife and their six children.
He then went on to the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA where he earned his D.D.S.
After practicing dentistry in Richmond for nearly 3 years, Dr. Spence relocated to Fluvanna County in 1995 and established Village Dental. In 2021, Dr. Spence and his team at Village Dental partnered up with Commonwealth Dentistry. Dr. Spence and his team have consistently been voted the Best Dentist in The Daily Progress Readers' Choice awards.
Dr. Spence is married to his college sweetheart and has 3 wonderful daughters. He enjoys travel, music, and is an admitted car fanatic. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Charlottesville-Albemarle Dental Society.
Dr. Castro is an expert in sedation dentistry and has performed hundreds of sedations and dedicated himself to continuous higher learning by studying sedation dentistry in countless hours of continuing education. Driven by a passion for dentistry, Dr. Castro’s goal is to give every patient the personal attention they deserve to feel comfortable and taken care of while giving the best dental care available. In his free time Dr. Castro is working on his book about educating patients in dentistry and hopes to be published in the near future. He also enjoys traveling with his four children and his wife Heather. On most weekends you can find him on the golf course practicing his golf swing.
Dr. Davidson received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and was the 2014 recipient of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award. While in her last year of Dental school, Dr. Davidson served as a teaching assistant, mentoring underclassmen; she also participated in rotations at dental clinics across the state to provide dental care to underserved populations.
Dr. Davidson enjoys all aspects of dentistry and loves getting to know her patients. In her free time, she enjoys being with family, running, volunteering, and entertaining her mischievous cats.
While in dental school, Dr. Faber was able to provide care at numerous free and reduced-price clinics, in addition to participating in Mission of Mercy projects. Dr. Faber enjoys practicing dentistry as a way to use both his hands and his mind to help his patients receive the best care they can.
Dr. Faber is a founding member of a local Kiwanis organization and gives his time volunteering in his community. Dr. Faber also enjoys spending time with his large extended family both in Richmond and Norfolk and enjoys spending time in the mountains of Nelson County.
