Charlottesville Dentists at Commonwealth Dentistry

A founding partner of Commonwealth Dentistry, Dr. Mark Beltrami graduated from MCV School of Dentistry in 1995 and has been practicing in the area since 1998. Besides his work at Commonwealth Dentistry, Dr. Beltrami also helped establish and is the current vice president of Central Virginia Dental Care, PLC. He is a member of the American Dental Association and has been invited as an expert for their informational panels. Mark is also a long-standing member of the Virginia Dental Association, where he has served on the new dentist committee and is an active member of the advisory board for Benchmark Dentures, the largest pro bono denture distributor for the VDA’s Mission of Mercy project.

Dr. Beltrami dedicates extensive time each year to participate in continuing dental education around the country and he has been recognized by “Best of the Tri-Cities” as Best Dentist by the Progress-Index. Mark has also traveled to Jamaica with dental students to serve communities on the island that have limited access to dental care. Outside the office, he has served as part-time faculty at the VCU School of Dentistry for more than 10 years and resides in the area with his wife, Michelle, and two children.

Dr. Aboulatta discovered his passion for dentistry while working for his family dentist as a dental assistant. That experience confirmed his desire to pursue a career in healthcare where he could use both his hands and knowledge to bring comfort and relief to patients. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and now practices as a general dentist.

He is a compassionate and detail-oriented provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. His clinical skills include comprehensive treatment planning, restorative and prosthetic dentistry, endodontic therapy, and periodontal care. He prioritizes clear communication and strives to ensure that every patient feels heard, informed, and comfortable throughout treatment.

 Dr. Aboulatta believes education is the key to prevention and makes it a goal to empower patients to understand their oral health and advocate for themselves. He is grateful for the trust his patients place in him and is committed to fostering a welcoming environment built on trust and understanding.
