Meet Our Prince George Dentists
Dr. Najjiyya Davenport
Dr. Najjiyya Davenport attended Norfolk State University as a recipient of the Dozoretz National Institute for Mathematics and Applied Sciences (DNIMAS) scholarship, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She later earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from VCU School of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center at Harlem Hospital.
Najjiyya is a partner in Commonwealth Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Virginia Dental Association, and Southside Dental Society. She loves to serve her community and frequently participates in Free Dental Days providing pro bono work to underserved communities and those without access to dental care.
When Najjiyya is not in the office, she can be found reading, traveling, spending time with her loved ones or outside in nature. Dr. Davenport lives in Richmond with her husband, Stephen and their dog, Molar.
Dr. Hamza Abdul-Samad
A native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Dr. Abdul-Samad was raised between St. Thomas and Ramallah, Palestine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with summa cum laude honors from the University of the Virgin Islands before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Abdul-Samad is a general dentist passionate about providing compassionate care guided by the golden rule. He is fluent in English and Arabic and has an elementary understanding of Spanish. He is skilled in restorative care, simple extractions, exams, and crown and bridge procedures, and he is expanding his expertise in surgical extractions, endodontics, and implant dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Abdul-Samad enjoys swimming, hiking, weightlifting, reading, and spending time with friends and family. As the second oldest of five siblings, he values connection, leadership, and service in both his personal and professional life.
