Dr. Grant H. Shaw
Grant H. Shaw, DDS, is a native of Beaverdam, VA, in Hanover County, and a proud graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, VA. His journey into dentistry began in 9th grade while shadowing a family friend who was a dentist. Dentistry captivated him because it combines fine hand skills, science, artistry, engineering, and health care, allowing him to improve smiles, alleviate pain, and enhance confidence and quality of life.
Dr. Shaw completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and earned his dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. In his practice, Dr. Shaw is dedicated to transforming people’s perception of the “dentist” by providing positive, anxiety-free appointments. He focuses on relieving pain, restoring smiles, and enhancing patients’ confidence and quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Shaw enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, exploring the outdoors. He loves fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, and traveling to the beach, lake, and river. He also enjoys golfing with friends, playing tennis, watching sports, and discovering new restaurants and cuisines. Dr. Shaw is excited to serve the Hanover community that helped raise him.
